The series follows the story in the weeks and months after a pandemic zombie apocalypse . County Sheriff Rick Grimes travels with his family and a small group of survivors in a constant search for a safe and secure place to live.

o constant pressure of daily repulsion of death has a high cost and leads many people to the basest depths of human cruelty . While Rick struggles to keep his family alive, he will discover that all-consuming fear of the survivors can be far more dangerous than the mindless creatures that orbit the earth.

" Walking Dead " is an adaptation of Robert Kirkman comic book published by "Image Comics . " The cartoon is very popular overseas and have been issued to 13 comic books in six chapters . Comics launched in the U.S. in 2003. Kirkman is one of the executive producers of the project, three times nominated for " Oscar " Frank Darabont ( " The Shawshank Redemption ", " The Green Mile ") is the writer, director and executive producer . Gale Anne Hurd ( "The Terminator ," " Aliens," " Armageddon ," " The Incredible Hulk " ) also is executive producer .
